all, please clarify, when installing sql server 2005 on windows server 2003 stabd alone., sa password did nt have policy settings. sql server 2008 windows 2008 also, stand alone installation did not enforce policy on sa password but when installing sql server 2005 on cluster, windows 2003, sa password enforced policy. policy settings sa user happen on domain installations/clsuters please clarify. thanks lot nik hi, security enforcement new feature got in sql2005 onwards. not specific standalone or cluster specific sql server irrelevent of windows enviroment. can go on login properties , check enforce password policy enable password policy login or can uncheck option. thanks, atul SQL Server  >  SQL Server Security ...
