Still cant get DB Mail Up, but Job Notifications Work?


sql 2008 r2

ok first off might confused. when enable db mail , go through steps, same thing if right click on job|properties|notifications| , choose actions perform when job completes email etc etc. part works fine. under assumption that's different , don't need selected if notify operator on maintenance plan itself. here have done.

enabled db mail. setup account , profile. click send test mail , fine. profile public , defaulted.

setup operators name , email.

maintenance plan-modify-general-notify operator task. (one success , 1 failure) attached main db backup

sql srv agent-properties-alert system- enable mail profile set database mail , chose profile prev created , restarted it.

firewall turned off

when run maintenance plan backup occurs attached notify operator success not.  test email db mail setup works fine though.

what missing?

check db mail log details of mail not coming. error in understanding thigns in details.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
