Register with Power BI failed


hi all,

i've running local report server , want configure power bi integration. sign in azure active directory , registering power bi clientapp validated, fails following error:

microsoft.reportingservices.wmiprovider.wmiproviderexception: unknown error has occurred in wmi provider. error code 80131500

 ---> system.exception: exception of type 'system.exception' thrown.
   --- end of inner exception stack trace ---
   at microsoft.reportingservices.wmiprovider.rswmiadmin.throwonerror(managementbaseobject mo)
   at microsoft.reportingservices.wmiprovider.rswmiadmin.savepowerbiinformation(string clientid, string clientsecret, string appobjectid, string tenantname, string tenantid, string resourceurl, string authurl, string tokenurl, string redirecturls)
   at reportservicesconfigui.wmiprovider.rsreportserveradmin.savepowerbiinformation(powerbiappconfiguration appconfig)

i tried sql server agent solution (https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-us/58db0ac1-b184-4b8e-b13a-0f8379e36acb/register-with-powerbi-error-in-reporting-configuration-tool-of-sql-server-2016?forum=sqlreportingservices), agent running , still not working. 

can me this? i've valid power bi account, don't know problem...

hi ricardo,

from error message, it's more wmi provider error.

first please try restart both sql server instance , sql server reporting services instance, , check if issue persist.

then can try use wmi tester troubleshoot issue or repair report services wmi provider, please refer following article step step troubleshooting:

 troubleshooting wmi provider errors

if still not work, please let me know , share more detailed information if possible.
