Deadlocks


hi  all,

we getting below alerts these days. can suggest issue , root cause, , how resolve it. checked in error log there no information @ time.

service: mssql query - check master db deadlocks

host: xyz

address: 1234

state: critical

info: critical: query expected 0 got 1. date/time: 10/10/2014 15:57:25

hi latheesh, reply, server sqlserver2000 . think dmv's not working in in version.  think error came because of deadlocks . right?

if on sql 2000, there no way can find out deadlock happened in past, if had no tracing set up. use enterprise manger add these startup parameters:

-t 3605
-t 1204

restart sql server. own, deadlocks logged in sql server error log.

then again, whether cryptic thing had in first post has deadlocks far clear. there nothing query deadlocks on sql 2000. did alert? third-party tool?

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
