SQL 2014 Performance issues+new cardinality estimator

hi all,

we planning upgrade sql version sql 2012 sql 2014. have db size of 220 gb , db hosted on sql 2012 db compatibility level showing 100 (sql 2008), not sure why our earlier dba not changed sql 2012 (110).

now have host above db on sql 2014 environment (rtm version) , have change compatibility level 110 or 120 (sql 2012 or sql 2014).

one of our team member said may face performance issues in sql 2014 because of new cardinal estimator of sql 2014 not handling database well. true?

please share comments , suggestions on this.

please note that, using crm 2015 , have apply sql 2014 rtm version not sp1 because sp1 not compatible crm 2015.

if crm 2015 not support sql 2014 sp1, cry , shame, not least if mean microsoft dynamics crm 2015 - microsoft should better. suggest attempt verify in dynamics forum.

it true new cardinality estimator has caused upheaval. saying not handling database taking things extremes, though. there cases there improvement. but, alas, more prone notice situations backfires.

running rtm version definintely not recommendable. rather run sp1 latest cu , trace flag 4199 enabled, buy corrections critical problems new estimator.

again, recommend ask in forum devoted product planning run learn experience other people have made.
