SSIS XML Source Validation Error


have ssis package created in visual studio 2008, has not changed in months.  i installed visual studio 2010.  now when open package in visual studio 2008 following validation error on xml source component in data flow task.

error 2  validation error. manual version xml file: manual version xml file: "component "xml source" (1)" missing required property "accessmode". object required have specified custom property.   standardstorefileconversionpackage.dtsx  0 0

when @ component, accessmode set.  if open advanced editor , refresh component, error clears (i.e. stop sign white x on component), when attempt execute task, receive following error:

error: 0xc004706b @ manual version xml file, ssis.pipeline: "component "xml source" (1)" failed validation , returned validation status "vs_iscorrupt".
error: 0xc004700c @ manual version xml file, ssis.pipeline: 1 or more component failed validation.
error: 0xc0024107 @ manual version xml file: there errors during task validation.
ssis package "standardstorefileconversionpackage.dtsx" finished: success.

additionally, we've run on co-workers desktop without issue.  i can't seem find resolution anywhere on net.  any appreciated.
