Creating "Hexagon" polygons over input polygon

i new database. need create "hexagon" (beehive) polygon layer cover entire feature layer. user provide the size (diameter size) of each hexagon. python tool exist already, need in sql. possible? if so, how do this? much.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
