Is Checkpoint on suspended a problem ?


hi

we has performance issue in db server hosted in virtual server. having sql 2005 ee sp2.

there no blockings , open transactions in server. found below process(checkpoint) abnormal.

 

this checkpoint consuming more in cpu cumulative , io. 

also found error in errolof sql server has encountered 69 occurrence(s) of i/o requests taking longer 15 seconds complete on file [d:\database\db.mdf] in database [db] (7).  os file handle 0x00000000000009cc.  offset of latest long i/o is: 0x0000094c000000

not sure prob. cn 1 on this. ...

that record found in error log says there activity on particular disk disk cannot handle. if it's san disk, may want add new disks raid solidify disk, or problem firmware of hba or hba itself; otherwise, if it's local disk may want move database faster san disk.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
