SQLExecDirect Error message


we have 3rd party application, connecting database hosted on sql 2005 cluster. having issue couple of users getting error messages below.

error:
sqlexecdirect:
"srvterm [08s01] [microsoft] [odbc sql server driver]communication link failure"

the 'srvterm' table in database. odbc connection on users pc has been confirmed connect database.

we have had network issues fibre cables though had resolved issue, however, error has remained couple of users.

is network issue or application\database issue?

any grateful.

the communication link error typically network issue can occur if connection terminates abruptly due unexpected error access violation in sql engine.  check sql server error log rule out.
 
since error occurring a few clients, expect probable cause problem in network connectivity.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
