SSRS 2008 Page size


hi,

      1 pls tell me out page settings report  showing in 3 pages. did page settings a4 landscape seeing in print layout showing in 7 pages.

pls me solve issues ot report in 3 pages.

hi abdul2010,

from description, there might 2 main reasons affect number of pages.

first, without page settings, paper size letter , orientation portrait default. when change them a4 , landscape in report properties, report height reduced fewer rows can displayed in page , more pages required display whole report.

second, reportviewer omit margins settings in report properties in preview layout, never in print layout.  so causes increase of page number in print layout.

another concept in ssrs divides pagination logic pagination , physical pagination setting interactive size property. property controls page breaks on web pages. more information, can refer to:

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
