Add Interactivity in exported Excel:Web report

specs:

i using ssas 2005, excel 2003 (office 2003 professional sp2)

 

i browse cube in ssas 2005 bi studio , export excel. 

this excel file provides interactivity, meaning double-click on expandable cell , excel issues mdx query , retrieves values.

 

 issues:

1. when save excel file, displays read-only version , still allows me save excel file in following formats: excel, web page (html , mhtml), xml file. displays checkbox "add interactivity".

the saved web page (html or mhtml) or xml files not provide interractivity. reports not able expand cells or issue mdx queries. allow write on cells, no double click.

how can provide this?

i want save them web pages, , publish them web server.

 

2. excel olap report exported yesterday, (excel 2003 file). mentioned before , give interactivity. after checked same report after day.

they displaying following error on double clicking or clicking on drop down:

"xml analysis parser: xxxxxxx session id cannot found. either session not exist or has expired."

and clicking on 'ok' displays message:

"errors in oledb provider. error occured while loading connection dialog box prompting."

 

3. these excel olap reports provide actions implemented in cube?

i have created drillthrough actions in cube. how can invoke them exported excel olap report?

 

we planning move proclarity due many of rigidness. feel software tool must provide as customization possible. if customization not built in must atleast provide libbraries write custom code , add on  or modify existing funtionality. similar sharepoint.

although sharepoint face front seems rigid, provides lot of customizations. , last resort, if not provide built in customization method something, can pretty hack , define whatever want.

 

for example, in proclarity want allow multi select in dropdown? not possible @ all. if want users double click , perform defined 'action' , not possible, proclarity displays actions of cells in tab! if there 100 actions , users must search , select!

if want contents of 1 dropdown depend on using mdx. not possible in proclarity.

i have list of inconsistencies, might not general usage everybody, in world of software, how can generalize?

 

please in excel questions....

1&2. when save excel file, have find there publish button, , not use save button. not have excel 2003 in front ofme, in excel 2000, menu have choose "save webpage" "publish", select pivot table click on "add interactivity :" , select "pivot table functionality". give interactivity , no issues session

 

3. no actions implemented default in excel. microsoft has code on pages have use make drilltrough work.
