Small Network TFS Timeout


hi all,

i'm complete novice when comes tfs setup, thought i'd try out on home network.  current situation this:

my desktop , laptop (both running windows 7) on same home network , able ping each other.

i've installed visual studio 2013 professional on laptop , desktop.

i've installed team foundation server 2013 on desktop, , can connect visual studio on desktop.

my 8080 port open on windows firewall.

when try connect tfs laptop, timeout errors, both visual studio , entering url in ie.

i've restarted both machines few times measure.

i searched online while, advice found make sure firewall allowing incoming 8080 traffic on tfs server, is.  i'm guessing it's obvious, since i'm bit out of depth.  appreciated.  thanks.

first, please share detailed error message here.

second, try turn off firewall on desktop , laptop machines temporary, try connect tfs server laptop check if firewall caused timeout issue.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
