Express will not load. Insurmountable difficulties with order of uninstalls/order of installs/ suggestions plz


finding "pieces of information" need install sql server express edition complex.  uninstalls "not" uninstall completely, leading failure of sql install.  can suggest thorough, one-stop site directions order of app uninstalls , order app installs following...

sql server express edition

visual studios 2005

jet 4.0 newest upgrade

.net framework 2.0 (or should use 3.0)

vs2005 security upgrade

anything else need creating database vs2005 visual basic project?

i trying use ms access backend db try sql express

you can check out instructions @ http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/support/uninstall/ to remove products. these pre-release, general order still same.

it if gave details specific problems having. if don't have pre-release software on computer there solution other uninstalling. point of confusion many people many different , independent components installed when install products such sql expres , visual studio. install components because required product run, can not automatically uninstall them because, once installed, may used other programs , removing them break other programs. such, have leave users make decisions removing common components.

only few components have specific order need use, order recomend on clean computer:

  1. .net framework 2.0
  2. windows installer 3.1
  3. sql express sp1 or sql express advanced services sp1
  4. visual studio 2005
  5. visual studio 2005 sp1
  6. any other update want install

if want use jet of projects can apply latest jet update, jet has nothing using vs , sql express together. if want play .net framework 3.0 may, realize beta product , working on developing different pardigm data access, not "the next version" of .net framework. sould read in detail , sure understand it's before install , use test computer since pre-release.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
