How to pull last value from a dimension member


hello all, im newbie ssas world , trying figure out coding.

here scenario:

i'm trying pull  only latest value out of result set, of july 2008, tomorrow if august populated need show august vice versa.. guys on this?

for measure limited applicable calendar boundaries, add 'existing' in front of '[date].[calendar].[month].members'. there times when 1 needs 'global latest' value current syntax produces. also, search 'last non empty' see has been done problem before.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
