SQL SERVER 2012 Installation problem


hi all,

i trying install sql server 2012 evaluation copy , getting error message

the following error has occurred:

 

unable open windows installer file 'g:\1033_enu_lp\x64\setup\x64\sqlncli.msi'.

 

windows installer error message: system cannot open device or file specified.

.

 

click 'retry' retry failed action, or click 'cancel' cancel action , continue setup.

system specs windows server 2008r2 enterprise. 8 gb ram 64 bit os intel(r) xeon(r) cpu e5320 @ 1.86 ghz (2 processors).

hi,

is g drive local or network? have rx permission on drive? try copy installer local drive , try installation again. if not work, recommend another install media.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
