backing up sql database gives me DBCC error. need help!!!


i keep getting error backup exec when backing 1 of databases. have no idea should fix it. contacted backup exec tech support , stated problem database , not software. can give me guidance how should troubleshoot , or resolve issue? 


backup- \\sqlserver2.contoso.com\d: new volume unknown or unexpected database error occurred while attempting dbcc.
internal error occurred in dbcc prevented further processing. contact customer support services.
unknown or unexpected database error occurred while attempting dbcc.
dbcc results 'contoso'.


dont typically sql databases appreciated.

running dbcc updateusage fix incorrect space usage stats (the errors checkdb refers dbcc updateusage). seem have more problems that, though (from quick reading of posted errorlog) have fall backups and/or contact ms support.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
