Enable TLS 1.2 for SQL SSL connections?


does know if running sql 2008 r2 on windows server 2008 r2 if can enable tls 1.2 connections between sql server , sql 2008 r2 odbc client? enabled tls 1.2 in iis 7.5. network trace same system tweaks showed sql connection being negotiated @ tls 1.0.

the big difference between tls 1.0 , 1.2 use of sha-256 hashing instead of sha1. nist has recommended phasing out of sha1 in favor of sha-256.






i looking answer of same question - have ever found out if sql server 2008, or 2012 is capable of doing tls 1.2 ? 

i puzzled, iis can done while sql server on same box continue respond tls1.0 in handshaking process....
