YAIP (Yet Another Install Problem)

sql server 2005 ctp setup has detected incompatible beta components visual studio or sql server. must run build cleanup wizard cde remove previous sql server components , .net framework components, , run sql server 2005 ctp setup again. detailed instructions on uninstalling sql server builds, see sql server 2005 ctp readme file.

so run sqlbuw.exe clean things , get

there no sql server 2005 or .net framework components uninstall. may run setup wizard install new instances of sql server 2005.

i can't seem win! suggestions? running on xp pro, visstudio beta2 installed....

appears though 1 of our guys has made progress on this. we've discovered log files being written in following directory:
c:\program files\microsoft sql server\90\setup bootstrap\log\files
using these log files obtaining ids apps halting installation of new sql server. ones found are:
product "{982db00a-9c4e-436b-8707-18e113baa44c}" versioned 9.00.1116 not compatible current builds of sql server.expected @ least version: 9.00.1314
the product name "microsoft sql server 2005 analysis services ctp"
product "{63a5dc0d-1edd-4d69-8f31-87faeb1f7084}" versioned 9.00.1116 not compatible current builds of sql server.expected @ least version: 9.00.1314
the product name "microsoft sql server 2005 notification services ctp"
product "{e0a41f96-7231-4ae8-a654-eeb34f935462}" versioned 9.00.1116 not compatible current builds of sql server.expected @ least version: 9.00.1314
the product name "microsoft sql server 2005 data transformation services ctp"
afting finding these ids, went through registry , deleted , went through file system , did same. (note none of these showed in add/remove programs.)
now in middle of installation process right now. work correctly.
