Good or bad idea to start Silverlight and ASP.NET

i want develop site using asp.net , silverlight, , i'm looking windows hosting services.  site store input in database , develop reports.  after reading few articles/tutorials on azure, find intriguing.  i'm wondering if should start site on azure.  have several years experience developing desktop apps c/c++ , c#, brand new web development.

azure add unnecessary burden new web programming?

thanks,
mike

hi mike,

when build silverlight app ria services or ado.net data services access data doesnt matter wher data is.  means can store in standard hsoting environemtn sql server or azure.  azure suits particular type of app given first shot @ web dev i'd go standard asp.net hosting.  if need sla can azure go path.
