could not load the DLL xpstar9.0.dll


hi,

i'm running sql server 2005 on windows 7.

 when create new database following error:

error 17750:could not load dll xpstar9.0.dll, or 1 of dll's references. reason: 126 (the specified module not found.)

 

 why problem occured ?

i have seen xpstar*.* missing sometime in past.  (it years ago me.)  the easiest fix copy other server , proper path server missing dll.  e.g.

c:\program files\microsoft sql server\mssql.1\mssql\binn

of course, correct thing try repair installation of sql server.  if not work, uninstall , reinstall server.  seemed heavy route go.  (or lazy in days.)   insist on having complete sql server installation.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
