SQL Server 2008 installation error


hi,

trying install sql server 2008 r2 dev edition on window 2008 r2 enterprise(new server).

when click on setup.exe, throwing error
error parsing
c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework64\v2.0.50727\config\machine.config
parser returned error 0xc00ce556

click on ok below error

title: sql server setup failure.

personally dont have experience solving issue per saw on internet, 2 things can try are

"c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\config\machine.config"

solve problem, rename original file 'machine.config' 'machine.config.old', , copy file machine , place in same folder. then, re-install again.

or

it can fixed replacing file c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework64\v2.0.50727\config\machine.config machine.config.default same folder.

as per numerous posts either 1 of should solve issue

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
