unable to create oracle connection using connection manager - TNS error


when try create connection oracle database on tfs, tns error says: tns not resolve connect identifier specified. both microsoft provider oracle , oracle provider microsoft doesn't work.

1) have installed 32 bit version of oracle client on system , downloaded oracle driver oledb.

2) created tns string , tried connecting oracle database , connection successful. able query database.

3) have sql server 2012 database and using ssms, when try import data oracle, works.

4) when use bids 2010, microsoft oledb provider oracle works, oracle provider oledb doesn't works - throws tns adapter error.

any appreciated.

i'd know more details scenario. want use oracle databases tfs or projects in tfs? tfs doesn't support use oracle database directly. if latter, can open new thread in relatead forum or sql server forum better response. understanding.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
