SQL server upgrade hardware.


i hope proper forum post hardware/best pratice question.

we have 2000 sql 2005 on hp dl 585 has own msa30 drive shelf. has own 4 channel scsi pcix card think 512mb of cache.  msa30 filled 14 u320 hd.  have second msa 30 comming. db size 334gb. have set of tables contain data compiled , set of tables contain post compiled. precompiled data takes of space.

here is question.

1. better have a filegroups multiple data files spread on both msa30's or 2 large files 1 on each drive tray.

please post question "sql server database engine " quick response.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
