Excel 2003 Accessing Analysis 2000: High CPU and Memory Utilization on Client


 

hello anyone,

 

we have client still uses excel 2003 , analysis 2000 in data warehouse. complaining reports takes more day refreshed using excel while in owc (bi portal), takes couple of minutes. unfortunately, users needs report in excel.

 

one of things we've noticed on reports excel being used high utilization of cpu , memory , disk. problem quite annoying since report access shouldnt problematic.

 

i understand excel , owc sends different mdx query table difference shouldnt in form of hours. we've bought new server (2 quadcores , 8gb memory) , made dedicated olap server unfortunately, doesnt seem address problem.

 

any insights on happening or causing this?

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
