run SQL server agent as a different user


 

hello,

 

i've got question sql server agent account. i'm having issue running job 'myself'. need run job domain\my account due fact account has security access folder on different machine. sql agent running different account. when try , change owner of job account following error:

 

the job failed.  unable determine if owner (domain\user) of job waiver_export has server access (reason: not obtain information windows nt group/user 'domain\user', error code 0x5. [sqlstate 42000] (error 15404)).

 

is there other fix issue other going services sql server agent (mssqlserver) , changing run using account?

not job owner, job step "run as" leave job owner alone.

Admin Permissions
