SQL Server 2008 R2 Permissions


hi all,

i have installed sql server 2008 r2 enterprise edition (64-bit) on a new server , restored sql 2005 database on it. have added login (an ad group) server role , database role membership as 'public'.  same settings on sql 2005 database server. 

i getting following error when trying execute update query sql 2008 server works fine on sql server 2005.

the update permission denied on object 'table1', database 'database1', schema 'dbo'

i have compared sql 2005 , sql 2008 security logins , roles, both same. 

this has been fixed. restared server have noticed has not been restarted after installation of sql server 2008. now, update query working fine without errors. have unchecked 'db_datareader' & 'db_datawriter' , query working fine.

Admin Permissions
