Workspace disappearing

one of new users running visual studio 2008 sp1 on windows server 08 connecting tfs 2010.  every few hours workspace disappears server. him able re-create it, has delete local cache , have remove rights project , add them back, otherwise gets error not having adminworkspaces global permissions.  server level admin pretty sure it's not else being malicious or playing pranks.

i've tried

1) changing password, having him create workspace , work disconnected. (thinking running him deleting workspace)  workspace still gets deleted

2) having him create second account on local machine , create multiple workspaces across both local users.  (thinking local environment) of them deleted, though he's on different local user.

3) deleting account in ad , re-created it, gets new sid. (thinking server thing account)  start over, workspace still gets deleted.

is there log somewhere can monitor or turn see what/who deleting workspaces user? other ideas check or change?
