do full text searches make sense for multi-word phrases?


suppose search word chaos in table has column of magazine articles.  interested in word "chaotic".

so use inflection feature of full text search.

but occurs me several words in a search-term used inflection feature, sql server would try inflecting every single word.

for instance, "the sociopath next door" might "the sociopathic next door"  or "the sociopathic doors"  or whatever.  real issue?


i don't have time research this, expect full-text apply inflexion rules, , suspect want in cases.

why not test yourself?

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
