Can no longer edit a maintenance plan in SSMS


i have sql server 2005 instance (the entire stack) installed , using maintenance plans backups, etc.  performed side-by-side installation of sql server 2008 (the entire stack).  appeared well.

however, no longer see maintenance plans under maintenance plan folder in ssms (neither ssms 2k5 or ssms 2k8).  can see plans if connect integration services.  maintenance plans execute sucessfully.

i not 100% sure behavior not present before 2k8 install, have no reason think otherwise, either.  did not pay close attention it.

is intended behavior?  now, edit plans have export them integration services, edit them in bids/vs , re-import them (unless missing something).  not show stopper hassle.  cause customers shake heads , wonder going on.

any ideas?

this not intended behavior.  valid scenario. should work. can provide me more details on machine configuration , steps reproducing issue (edition of sql server, os, processor architecture...) ?

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
