How to Use this Forum - Please Read Before Posting


welcome sql server samples , community projects forum.

forum place discuss things "samplish" in sql server community , samples space, whether it's "official microsoft sample" or community project in codeplex or code gallery. *not* place discussion specific nuances of t-sql syntax or wage data modeling methodology wars: there lots of other forums purposes. 1 questions samples, community projects , conversations between collaborators build them.

some examples of projects open discussion can found here: http://www.codeplex.com/sqlserversamples. doesn't have listed there fair game, it's bet fair game if it's listed there.

below few guidelines find answer , people answer questions, answer yours correctly.

  • is question sql server samples , community projects . if it's not please locate correct forum otherwise question may moved, closed/locked or deleted.
  • try searching forum . search forum see if question has been asked before , answered.  if cannot find looking for, please start new thread rather adding old 1 as some people not see answered questions in forum views may not assistance you're looking for.
  • don't brief . more information can give in question, better response be.
  • check alerts . can subscribe question can see update on (refer setting alerts below).
  • no spam. spamming have thread deleted , may result in account being banned.
  • be polite.  better assistance if you're polite other members no flaming or trolling.  if persist flaming or trolling, account may banned.
  • mark question answered. if answers question please mark reply answer question. can mark multiple replies answers if think answered question.  marking replies not assists others similar questions, let's people know you're grateful assistance.


dead thread/answer policy.

possible moderators allow sufficient time original poster come , mark replies questions answers.  the amount of time @ discretion of individual moderator suggested declared dead after week if original poster not respond . try fair , mark suitable replies answers.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
