Deploying Custom TFS Reports Across Team Projects


i had question best way deploy (and maintain) custom reports used across multiple team projects.  in msdn guides i've found, little discussed creating reports beyond of own team project.  or author briefly addresses telling reader can make copy of report , drop in team project.

this does't work when maintaining report across 20+ team projects.

from developer standpoint, ideally prefer make report change , have single deployment destination, other team projects can see latest changes.

can accomplish linked reports, define deployment location , create linked reports within each of team projects? require more up-front configuration theoretically easier push out enhancements.

what others in scenario?

hello matt,

first, in opinion issue not related tfs. reporting service organized in folder mode, linked reports not supported in tfs.

in addition, far know can deploy report target destination in sql server business intelligence development studio. think you’ better consult reporting service experts on sql server reporting services better support:

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
