I can not see the ssms installation feature in SQL Express 2008


hi!

i'm having same problem person had in post except don't know goat "sqlexprnt.x86.enu" installation.

i installed sql server express 2008 database. want add the management studio express.

after running installation , follow steps, in "installation type window"
i select "add features existing instance of sql server 2008".

i select instance "by default called sqlexpress" , press next.

the feature selection window appears , ssms not appears ther, appears
the features already have.

i runned installation , nothing:

all installation did same, decompress installation file searching ssms installation , runned "sql_ssms.msi" , "sql_ssms_loc.msi" installation seems begin, management studio express not appears shurtcut. tried find excecutable file should in c:\program files\microsoft sql server\100\tools\binn\vsshell\common7\ide 3 dll's appear.

thanks or guide.

i not upgrading versions of sql server, fresh windowsxp installation.

that's did, since nobody gave me answer, had solve problem.

but looking how solve problem in case had sql server express 2008 installed , need install que management studio basic, did in sqle2005, install dbe , later install management studio express no problem.

i remove , them install dbe the management studio basic inlcuded in installation.

if have connections microsoft, please tell them issue.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
