Using SSDT with SQL Server 2008 R2 porjects / server
hello experts,
my comapny uses sql server 2008 r2. not planning change our database sql 2012 :
we want create our ssas/ssrs project using sql server data tools. use ssdt currenlt ssas/ssrs projects.
can please guide me pros , cons of doing so?

this understanding respective multi-targetting support of sql server 2012 bi project systems hosted inside sql server data tools:
- ssas multi-dimensional projects support deployment down level servers – sql 2005, 2008, 2008 r2 , sql 2012. project system has ability specify deployment target, can errors if target not support features used in project.
- ssrs projects support multi-targeting of 2008, 2008 r2 , 2012
- ssis projects support sql server 2012 (as far know related changes in ssis package format)
