How to study for the MCSA: SQL Server Exams?
hi guys,
forgive me if question has been answered i'm trying find out best way tackle 3 exams required mcsa in sql server. read blog post on pluralsight website which, in discussing mcsa in windows server, advised best approach study 3 exams rather 1 @ time there's amount of overlap.
my question apply sql server 2012 too? or bets study for, , take, 3 exams separately , 1 @ time? i'm completing trainsignal (now pluralsight) sql server 2012 administration essentials 28-video course , begin going through equivalent book when read blog post.
my background in desktop/server support (10years following degree) , before now, have had no real exposure sql server. asked year ago current manager "keep eye" on sql instances have , began replicating our fail-over cluster in virtual environment testing purposes , gain understanding of set-up. i've since developed keen interest in sql server , plan certified...
many in advance.
marcus.
exams are:
| |
| | |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | querying microsoft sql server 2012 | | | |
2 | administering microsoft sql server 2012 databases | | | |
3 | implementing data warehouse microsoft sql server 2012 |
it better go 1 @ time rather studying together.
go through skills measured section of each paper. find out paper looks more familiar , easy you. start paper. being desktop/server support guy has started working on sql, 70-462 might easier if have tried out administration related things in last year.
to make easy 70-461 querying/programming , 70-462 administration, 70-463 bi/ssis
i did 70-462 first 461 , 463. personal preference.
