PowerPivot 2012 - Archiving excel spreadhseets with disconnected data


 

i want create powerpivot excel spreadsheet can archived.  definition of archiving turning off capability refresh datasources allow people still manipulate disconnected data.  in addition, save copy of the powerpivot excel spreadsheet new spreadsheet refresh capability datasources.  

the answer should work with and without sharepoint.

(note: create powerpivot reports preserve period data , can copied current period it can dynaically updated new data , archive when done.)

maybe bit simplified if use username/pw datasource users right credentials able upate data
in general data "disconnected", still copy file , refresh if have right credentials

though, never able manipulate data directly in powerpivot
option think of load data excel spreadsheet/table , use linked tables import powerpivot
can remove data-connection excel , "disconnected" , can manipulate data

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
