MSSQL 2008 R2 problem.


this isn't anywhere else, hope isn't atleast. have searched support area 2 hours , have not found solution. ask here.

i need create server sql 2008 r2 express, downloaded , started going through installation process. came problem. got page has terms , conditions, accepted them , clicked next. started processing support files. but, after completed installing these support files, application closes , nothing happens - no matter how long wait for. used approximately year ago on same computer, , worked perfectly. have not done computer since then. please me experts!

i run on windows xp service pack 2. please me. in advanced

machine having orphan entries in registry various sql realted msi. since setup "crashing" after "licence terms" page, know installs setup support files. first action item remove setup support files add/remove programs.
else, need share setup logs better.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
