SQL Server 2008 agent won't start


i have new setup sql server, , sql server agent wont start. when try starting it starts, stopps immediately.

i have tried running service network service, domain account , local account, of have sysadmin right on sql instance

in ssms says sql server agent (agent xps disabled)

the agent working before, , fail during maintenance task, changed logon account service, , have no been able working again

i have instance had same issue. ran command, , made sure permissions same. when choose account in sscm sql server agent service popup saying "the proccess terminated unexpectedly"

please check sqlagent.out file located @ c:\program files\microsoft sql server\instance_name\mssql\log detailed error message , reasons. , please refer below blog how troubleshooting issue:

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
