hi team,

i m trying increase log file size (ldf) im getting error

modifiy file failed. specified size less or equal current size (mss sql server, error: 5039)

it occurs when use alter database modify file , specify file size less current size , results in an error. way can reduce file size give storage operating system using dbcc shrinkfile.

if want increase log file size use

use master go alter database testdb  modify file    (name = testlog, --logical filename log file    size = 2048mb) --specify target size > current size  go
