TFS - Very slow in get latest and simple operations since adding many images


hello. new tfs, , i'm hoping can me out little (i'll grateful). have 6 month trial version of tfs installed on relatively powerful machine. there 6 developers maximum @ time working on machine. there 1 project working on. working until added folder full of images. it's several folders full of images, , it's close 10,000 images.

 

ever since added images folder, tfs slow. when right click on top level project, visual studio hangs 30 seconds before displaying context menu. when right click on "images" folder, see same results. however, when right click on folder @ same level "images" folder, application repsonds immediately.

 

the other big problem getting latest. after right clicking @ top level , waiting 20 seconds or menu appear, clicking latest hangs visual studio (in "not responding" state) 5-10 minutes. begins getting latest, goes relatively quickly.

 

i have no clue wrong , beginning impact our productivity team. have absolutely no clue direction go in besides removing "images" folder. don't know if i've exceeded of capabilities of tfs folder or what. super appreciated.

i have made fix context menu issue should make orcas beta 2.  have been unable reproduce (at least degree describe) issue operation.  take 30 or 40 seconds.  of checking file attributes on 10,000+ files invovled and optimizing list of 10,000+ files down set of folder names include in request.

 

as workaround should able perform operation source control explorer , not suffer expense of preprocessing done selection solution explorer.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
