reporting services is running but cannot connect


infrastructure people did maintenance on sql server machine, although not sure if has problem. problem is, have database engine , reporting services turned on, cannot connect reporting services.

here symtoms.

from client machine, can connect database engine using mgmt studio. using same server name, not able connect reporting services. error says

title: connect server    ------------------------------        cannot connect nysrv126,2433.        ------------------------------    additional information:        machine not found (microsoft.sqlserver.management.ui.rsclient)        ------------------------------    buttons:        ok    ------------------------------

"nysrv126,2433" server name , same server name able use connect database engine.

 

next, on server machine itself, same symtoms above in mgmt studio. is, can connect database engine not reporting services. however, am able open reporting services configuration manager (which means connected reporting services).

thanks. ended re-installing.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
