Visual Studio 2008 XP vs Vista


hello,

 

i'm having trouble moving programs visual studio 2008 (post release) on xp vs2008 on vista.

 

i created windows mobile application on vs2005 (xp machine).

recently, upgraded vs2008. app seems have converted well.

 

i got vista machine. installed vs2008 along with mobile development needs such mobile 5.0 sdk. went open the solution , got message, "xml document must have top level element". same thing happened project file.

 

i created sample program had same issue. able overcome problem starting new mobile project on new machine , importing of objects. however, program transfer larger production application , i'm dubious re-creating it, importing elements.

 

the main problem appears xp vs vista. 

 

secondary how such error messages generated. there no indication of xml file being read when error raised, , there lots of xml files sift through.

i don't think you're looking @ windows xp/windows vista issue. rather, suspect running has visual studio, windows mobile, or both. i'd suggest cross-posting query on smart devices general forum[1] or on smart devices vb , c# projects forum[2].

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
