Incomplete database drop


this started wanted drop database , rebuild it.

deleted database using legacy azure manage portal, disappeared list , drop appeared have completed successfully.

we tried recreate new 1 exact same name noticed old resource did not release name. not use same name new database.

after waiting few minutes disappeared new azure portal. bit name still tied up. thats when checked in sql management studio. sure enough database no tables name sitting there unresponsive.

dropping sql studio resulted in message this:

database 'edgeportalazure' on server 'wfhidkkhpr' not available.  please retry connection later.  if problem persists, contact customer support, , provide them session tracing id of 'eff663ea-c350-4d70-b370-9e8b8bf78503'. (microsoft sql server, error: 40613)

removing using azure powershell resulted in message this:

remove-azuresqldatabase : resource name 'edgeportalazure' not exist. continue, specify valid
resource name.

we had replication turned on database , hindsight should have disabled , did drop sql studio opposed portal.

any appreciated.

 we had problems delete database in background. issue mitigated , database deleted. should able reuse database name now. sorry inconvenience. please feel free let me know if there's further issue. thanks!

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........

hi there, i ran problem while deploying sql 2008 transactional replication between 2 servers lets assume server , b. actually created  both distributor , publisher on server , after created subscriber pointed server b, launch replication monitor , found big red cross. when click on tab "distributor subscriber history" error says "cannot find either column "dbo" or user defined-function or aggregate "dbo.ufnleadingzeros", or name ambiguous". can body regarding issue. regards, ishuv hi, you need compare data , others reseved, index size, unused should not compared. differs. here server - data - 87896 kb server b - data - 78152 kb server data size includes publication tables, can't compare directly. need check article article know exact data size.
