inplace and side by side upgrade from windows 2003 64 bit R2 contains SSRS 2008 R2 to windows 2008 64 bit R2


hello all,

   case 1 -in place upgrade

   in place upgrade windows 2003 64 bit r2 contains ssrs 2008 windows 2008 r2 64 bit. upgrade happened @ os level not @ ssrs level.
   know  necessary steps should taken  prior/during/post  upgrade ssrs end  as can not rollback if there issue in place upgrade.

  case 2-side side upgrade

  side side migration windows 2003 32 bit  that contains ssrs 2008 windows 2008 r2 64 bit. side side  would happened @ both os level ,  ssrs level.
  i know  necessary steps should taken  prior/during/post side side migration  from ssrs end.

before doing take backups .

in case of reporting services..

  • back symmetric key. more information.

  • back report server databases , configuration files. more information.

  • back customizations existing reporting services virtual directories in iis.

SQL server replication error Cannot find the dbo or user defined function........
