Who else finds it ludicrous that Visual Studio 2010 does not support SSRS report development?
for years, stuck using vs 2005 editing our ssrs instead of vs 2008. when visual studio 2010 released, assumed @ least allow development of ssrs 2008 server-based reports. no, seems ssrs development not included.
the big guestion why not? ssrs report development considered secondary regular development (or worse secondary to crystal report development)?
i felt need rant. feel little better now. :)

hi mike,
thank posting.
visual studio 2010 allow develop reporting services 2008 based local report. however, mentioned, business intelligence development studio(bids) not part of visual studio 2010. may included in next release.
i want suggest using report builder 3.0 instead. report builder 3.0 allow tasks done in bids. also, report build 3.0 lightweight tool.
for more information report builder 3.0, please see:

if have more questions, please feel free ask.
thanks,
